To keep in mind

A mountain tour is not just "a simple excursion". Hiking is considered a sporting activity meaning sustained physical effort for 7 or more hours as well as exposure to risks (weather, rugged terrain, exposed areas, animals, etc.). We plan the tour through a good knowledge of the massif, walking the trails before going with tourists, knowing the emergency escape routes, thinking about the program, leading the group on the mountain, communicating with each participant, supervising the group during the hike, managing risks and special situations, etc.
